Cindy Henning brings over 28 years of coaching experience to her role as Youth Programs Coordinator and 11.1 Southlake Coach at PONO Volleyball. She began her coaching career in 1997 in Southern California and has been a prominent figure in Texas volleyball since 2003, developing competitive athletes and building strong programs across north Texas.

Cindy has coached at several top clubs, including TAV, North Dallas Juniors, Tejas, Drive Nation, and Texas Image, where she helped guide numerous teams to Nationals. Her coaching experience also includes stints at Ursuline Academy, Grapevine Faith Christian School, and the University of Texas at Arlington.

In 2015, Cindy shifted her focus and quickly became a leader for introductory volleyball and pre-club development. As a Youth Programs Director, she built and led successful youth systems at Tejas (4 years) and Texas Image (7 years), while also coaching their top 11s club teams. Her work has been centered on creating strong foundations that prepare athletes for long-term success.

Cindy’s coaching philosophy emphasizes proper fundamentals, teamwork, discipline and a positive, competitive mindset. She believes that strong technical habits, combined with confidence and joy for the game, create athletes who not only perform at a high level on the court but also in life off the court.

She is excited to join PONO Volleyball and continue her passion for developing young athletes through structured training, competitive growth, and a love for the game.
