Megan Maiava

15.2 Head Coach

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, Megan brings the heart of the islands and the spirit of ALOHA into everything she does—on and off the court. A multi-sport athlete in volleyball, soccer, and track, Megan discovered early on that her true passion lived in the rhythm of the game and the grind of practice. Specializing as an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist, her drive and talent led her to compete at the NCAA Division II level in Nyack, New York, where she graduated in 2019.

After college, Megan relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where her coaching journey truly began to flourish. With over a decade of coaching experience—including time spent in one of the country’s most competitive regions (NTR)—she’s become known for developing strong, fundamentals-first teams that thrive on teamwork, discipline, and a love for learning.

Coaching is in her blood. Megan comes from a proud lineage of volleyball players and coaches, many of whom have competed at the collegiate and professional levels. That legacy, combined with her island upbringing, helps her create a coaching environment rooted in respect, connection, and personal growth.

Megan is more than just a coach—she’s a mentor and motivator who meets each athlete where they are and helps them grow into the player they’re meant to be. Whether your athlete is new to the game or striving for the next level, Megan provides a safe, challenging, and uplifting space to reach their full potential.
